We have campuses in Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney. All of these campuses are located in the heart of the CBD and provide easy access to the city’s amenities, vibrant culture, and a variety of dining options.
Student Activities
Broaden your horizons and meet new people who share your interests in your student life by participating in our diverse activities and events. Whether it’s attending ecotherapy seminars outdoors or joining the hike club, there’s something to cater to everyone’s interests. You can also participate in our student community market, which showcases homemade and second-hand items.
Student Experience and Support
At Ikon, we prioritise student support. Whether you need academic guidance or social support, our Student Experience Team will be your first point of contact to help you from enrolment right through to graduation.
Student Representatives
At Ikon, we highly value student voices and have student representatives dedicated to advocating students’ rights and interests of students. These representatives work closely with our Academic and Student Experience teams to address concerns, organise engagement activities and offer support to fellow students. You’ll also interact directly with the Ikon Board of Directors, where you can propose ideas to enhance the student experience.
Campus Facilities and Resources
Ikon campus facilities are designed to support your learning experience. You’ll spend a lot of time on campus, so we want to make sure you feel comfortable and connected. Each Ikon campus features modern facilities and the latest technology to personalise and enhance your learning experience. This includes comfortable lounges, group study areas, and a kitchen for quick meals, all connected by a campus-wide wireless network.
Classrooms
Depending on class size, our modern classrooms seat 25-30 students, and they are all equipped with audio-visual equipment, and a whiteboard.
Practice Learning Spaces
Our clinical education practice spaces are used in classes to enhance your practical skills.
Arts Therapy/ Counselling and Psychotherapy –These spaces are set up like a real-world counselling or therapy room, providing students with the opportunity to practice their skills in a safe and controlled environment. You will gain experience in conducting sessions, using therapeutic tools, and applying theoretical knowledge in practical scenarios.
Early Childhood Education – Our realistic early childhood settings have all the necessary resources to practice teaching methods, learn about child behaviour management, and understand how to create inclusive and engaging learning environments. These include educational toys, books and craft supplies.
Across all our campuses, each Ikon library is well-stocked with physical and digital resources for every academic course. We also provide access to premium scholarly publications via ProQuest including thousands of e-books and journal articles.
Canvas, our Learning Management System, acts as a comprehensive student portal at Ikon. It provides easy online access to essential student resources including timetables and online learning materials.
The Canvas student portal provides access to course materials, videos, the Student Handbook, and policies, as well as access updates, surveys, and forums for your course. Students can also communicate with staff and students, submit assessments, view results, receive feedback, participate in online activities, and book appointments for academic support and counselling services.
