Academic Learning Support

Our Academic Learning Support (ALS) is dedicated to helping you reach your full learning and academic potential and is designed to help you establish effective study practices. It aims to ensure you understand the expectations for formal learning and assessments, providing continuously updated resources with essential information and advice to support your success in your studies.

Through the ALS online platform, you have access to:

Additional Study Support: Ikon partners with Studiosity to provide extra study support to students during the trimester. Studiosity’s dedicated tutors are available to answer study-related questions and provide fast feedback on assignment drafts before submission. You can connect live or send your written assignment for consultation with a Studiosity tutor through the ALS online platform.

Resources: Resources are available for topics such as time management and study planning, reading techniques and strategies, academic integrity and referencing, academic writing skills, research skills, and understanding assignment types and task requirements.

Individual Appointments: Schedule personalised sessions with our Academic Support Team specialists to enhance your understanding of subject content and improve your study skills. Dedicated meeting rooms are available for one-on-one meetings with our academic teaching staff.

Skills-building Workshops: Participate in live online workshops focused on research and writing skills, referencing style, usage of electronic resources, time management, and general study skills. Register for workshops via the ALS online platform.
